The short answer to your question: Yes, I’m still working on the fifth anniversary review. I know I keep flaking on my own deadlines but it will be up before the SIXTH anniversary comes around, I swear. I’m working as hard as I can when I’m able. Hey, it’s not like I’ve been spending my free time bingeing The Muppet Show and Wandavision, crushing Pikmin 3, and counting down the days ’til I get vaccinated, heh heh heh…
Anyway, stay safe, keep those hands washed and masks on even after you get your shot(s), and I’ll see you all soon.
Well, all the same, when I’m not busy with retail and trying to get back to my writing, I’ve found WandaVision to be unimpressive, I’ve been on a roll with The Muppet Show (I’ve currently made as far as Gilda Radner), I’m still waiting for any announcement regarding season 4 of The Dragon Prince, I’ve been commissioning people to do artwork of the creatures of my alternate world and I’m eager for The Bad Batch when it arrives.
So yeah, there were times when I wasn’t aware that I was waiting for your next blog.
Hey there, Shelf. I’m glad that you’re still here. Things have been…rocky, to say the least. I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but I had a pet cat named Oreo who was very sick since the end of last year. She’s had health problems all her life, and long story short, she had a hernia. That would have been simple enough, but the recovery itself was worse than before her operation. And…
She passed away March 17th. We had her for seven and a half years, and we think she may have been ten years old when we said goodbye. When I think of her, I can’t stop crying. Oreo was my best friend and I miss her so much.
At the same time, we met our new kitten. The vets called him Clutch, but our family decided Oliver was a better name. When I first saw him, he was recovering from leg surgery, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell because he just wanted to play so much. As soon as the dust settles and all the papers are signed, we’ll be taking him home. If all goes well, we may get him a brother or sister. I feel like a mommy without a baby, and he’s a baby without a mommy, so there you go. It feels like we were meant to have him.

He makes video reviews comparing book and film adaptations on YouTube. I edit some of his reviews every now and then.

Thanks! Just to be on the safe side, I can’t reveal anything at the moment. But if the pitches get picked up, then my name will be in the credits!
