November’s just getting started but you know what that means – the floor is once again open to voting for Christmas-themed reviews! Visit the Christmas Shelf to see what shorts, specials and movies you can vote for. Pick one of each and let me know in the comments or by emailing me at upontheshelfshow@gmail.com before November 25th. The winners with the most votes will be reviewed all throughout December (never fear, the next Faerie Tale Theatre review will still be up on December 6th).
Can’t wait to see what you pick! Happy voting!
My votes go for The Little Match Girl, The Real Ghostbusters: X-Mas Marks the Spot and Arthur Christmas

I’ll throw my hat in for The Little Match Girl, if only because The Small One isn’t on the shelf.
I can’t decide between Chowder and Invader Zim for my second vote, but if push comes to shove, Invader Zim for it’s satirical take on Evangelical Christianity.
Finally, Klaus because it’s awesome.

Ooh, Christmas Shelf time!
– Shorts: I’m going for “Donald Duck in: “The Clock Watcher”. I figured since a Mickey Mouse cartoon won last year, a Donald Duck would serve as something of a foil.
– Specials: “Olive the Other Reindeer”. Being a huge fan of classic Simpsons and Futurama, looking at Matt Groening’s most “all-ages” work should be quite interesting.
– Movie: “Klaus”. It just LOOKS phenomenal. It’s on the list of “movies I have to sit down and watch”, but it feels like it’s going to enter the canon of great Christmas movies.

First Pick – Klaus. I think you can great job with how this film subverts tropes not only with the Santa Clause mythos, but storytelling in film too!
Second Pick – anything from My Little Pony
